The ATJ is such a smooth entry ramp into journalling. I have tired journalling many times in my life, but I've always felt intimidated by the blank page or guilty for not being consistent, which led to zero journalling. This product is so beautiful that I want to carry it with me, I love having those simple, powerful prompts to help me tune in to what's going on in my mind & heart, and being reminded that it can be used whenever (without pressure of being consistent) is really the ticket for me. Somedays I grab for it multiple times, then a few weeks might go by before the next entry, and that is ok! I do know that each time I reach for it and use it, it's like a sigh of relief for my soul. If you've ever had the journalling overwhelm or guilt before, try this one out! It's different in all the best ways.
I love all of the Best Today products! This journal is unique in so many ways. It makes it easy to take a moment and reflect on the things that matter most.
The ATJ is something I look forward to writing in every time I pick it up. The intentional prompts coupled with the ease of use and open dating options make this my go to for journaling. It’s all the goodness of writing without any of the pressure. On a functional note, the stretchy strap is fabulous and the durability and feel of the cover and pages is superb quality!
Ok so the main thing is that I’ve used this EVERY day, sometimes multiple times a day, since I received it (and I don’t usually journal). I’m about to use it right after I post this (see pic). It has just woven itself into my days like a supportive little friend. The prompting, which seemed deceptively simple at first, is game changing because it gets me thinking/self-connecting and makes it easier to just jump in as opposed to staring at an empty page. It makes journaling more accessible, which has been helping my mental health on tough days.
Details on build: The build quality is excellent and worth the $. The gold accents are letterpressed, not printed on top (feels fancy). Even my kid commented on how beautiful the color is. The cover material had a slight smell at first, which has dissipated, but it’s nice and thick and feels *very* buttery. The bookmark ribbon is quality and properly sealed at the end. Pages are nice and thick so I can’t see any ink ghosting when I turn to a fresh page. A true 10/10 product. Thank you, Best Today!
